Students are invited to stay at Kyung Hee University renowned for their beautiful campus. Kyung Hee University offers St. Cloud State University students the chance to study abroad for one semester or an academic year in the capturing city of Seoul. All of the courses for SCSU students will be taught in English. Language courses are offered to enhance the students' understanding of the culture and enable them to better interact with community members. The campus is located in Seoul, the remarkable capital city of South Korea. Seoul is a modern city with many parks, coffee shops, shopping areas, and restaurants as well as an amazing nightlife. During time off from school, students can travel around the region with the convenient subway system.
Students will select 12-15 credits that can either fulfill major, general, or goal area requirements at St. Cloud State University. Students should meet with an advisor in the Education Abroad office to review course options. The credits earned at Kyung Hee University will transfer back to St. Cloud State University.
Students can easily take the fast train around the districts of Seoul for a weekend excursion or even to the coastal regions. Local attractions in the Seoul area include: the Myeong Dong shopping district, Seoul Tower, the National Museum of Korea, Lotte World, and the Seoul World Cup Stadium, just to name a few. There is something for everyone in this impressive country.
SCSU students are housed in on-campus residence halls alongside fellow Korean students. This integration helps foster a sense of community which is one of the primary goals of this university.
