In the ever-increasing global media setting, opportunities for students to travel with needed production equipment to generate professional portfolio entries from an international setting is of significant value. During this amazing 3 week experience, students will have the opportunity to explore the community in Aalborg, Denmark while engaging with Danish media organizations and media professionals to increase not only their techniques but also their network of media professionals. 


Students will have the option to take two of the three courses listed below:
  • COMM 420: Mass Media and Society
    • Pre-requisite: COMM 220 and COMM 222 (COMM 222 waived for Mass Comm Minors)
  • COMM 414: Danish Culture and Media
  • COMM 330: Multimedia Storytelling 
    • Pre-requisite: COMM 220 and COMM 240


Students will have the opportunity to explore Denmark in multiple ways. Many attractions may include: 

  • Tour of Aalborg, Skage, Aalborghus, Nordjeske Medier, Copenhagen, and other cities within Denmark
  • Visit to Aalborg History Museum, and Budolfi Church
  • Networking events with head officials in the field 
  • and many more! 


SCSU students live in hostels and hotel throughout Denmark. 


  • GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Good Standing at the University
