GLOBAL MENTORS

Jack N.
Hey! My name is Jack, and I am a senior here at SCSU. I am majoring in Psychology and plan to pursue grad-school here too! I had the amazing opportunity to go on the #Alnwick, England during my first year and loved every second of it. What an amazing way to earn college credits and get out of your comfort zone and see what the world has to offer. I highly recommend trying to study abroad at least once during your time in college. It really is a once in a lifetime experience and you will not regret it.
Travel Tip:
When traveling, having a plan is great, but sometimes things just don't go to plan. Be ready to adapt and make the most of every moment you can and don't be afraid to change things up. You might just find your next best experience in a place you had no intention of going.

Cassidy N.

There are many options/ programs all over the world that you can choose from! Come talk to us!
Travel Tip:
Research public transportation and download any helpful travel apps. Google and Apple maps doesn't work in some countries.

Camille M.
Hi there! My name is Camille, and I am a Criminal Justice student. I have studied abroad twice in #Alnwick, England, I attended the spring 2022 semester program and a 5-week summer program. I would love to return to Alnwick, but we'll see what the future holds. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask!
Travel Tip:
Don't be afraid to ask local people for help.

Bill P.
Hello, my name is Bill and I am currently a senior here at SCSU! I am currently majoring in software engineering and was fortunate enough to attend the #Alnwick, England program in the spring of 2022. I am planning another study abroad trip for my final semester at SCSU to Japan. I am happy to answer any questions you have about the experience and process of going abroad.
Travel Tip:
Check with your U.S. bank about withdrawing cash in the country's currency. You will get a better exchange rate and less fees than at the airport or foreign banks.

Iris L.
Hey guys! my name is Iris and I am currently a sophomore at SCSU. I am majoring in nursing and with that I was still able to attend the #Alnwick, England program this past spring of 2022. I do wish to attend at least one or two more study abroad programs while in college but well see what awaits for me. I encourage you guys to study abroad because its definitely an experience. I would love to see more diverse groups studying abroad because anybody can study abroad and our team will do our best to figure out a plan for you!
Travel tip:
I recommend planning your outfits for the trip because that weight limit gets filled real fast. I also recommend looking at the weather before your departure date to make sure you have the right things packed. Don't be afraid to do things on your own or not having a plan ahead of time because you will figure it out and if anything happens just take a step back, breath and make a plan. Have fun and don't let things get to you because you want to get the best out of that experience!
