Program Description:

Social Work

Overview 

While living in the Alnwick Castle in England, students will take a 3 credit social work course that will focus on the foundations of victim services with an emphasis on violence against women. Faculty from the United States as well as Newcastle University in the UK will provide a global understanding of victim services and human rights. This program will prepare students as leaders in careers working with crime victims. The program will also combine classwork with field trips and service projects in both Northumberland England and Edinburgh Scotland.

Academics

The course will be Social Work 420 and assist in students development and knowledge in the foundations of victim services. Students also have the option of requesting independent study credits through a faculty of their major area of study.
