Overview

Join us on this Spring Break trip  through Cuba while learning about their business, economic, and cultural practices. This international educational tour will examine the challenges and opportunities facing business managers when conducting business internationally. This course will include on-site business visits and presentations, economic and cultural briefings, lectures by host country experts, and cultural experiences and activities!

HBS 479/579 Special Topics in Global Business
Student will learn and experience:
  • Explore major challenges facing managers and organizations as they operate internationally
  • Explore cross-cultural differences in business practices and their impact on the global work environment with emphasis on the local business enviornment and local customer

Housing

Students will be staying in both hotels and hostels for the duration of their stay in Cuba.

  • Sophomore status or above
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Open to all majors
  • Course focuses on business curriculum
  • Students should first apply with SCSU online
