Program Description:

Join St. Cloud State University on a remarkable journey to Russia and experience a country of rich cultural heritage and breath-taking natural beauty. This trip is a rare opportunity to learn about Russia’s diverse culture and geography from one of SCSU’s own geography professors who was born and raised in Russia and can provide students with an inside view. Students will travel to the countryside for hiking and camping and also visit some of Russia’s famous urban centers:  Moscow, a city filled with impressive Soviet Era buildings and modern skyscrapers, Kazan, and Saint Petersburg—nicknamed Venice of the North because of its classical architecture, many rivers, channels and beautiful bridges. Students will have the opportunity to meet students at Kazan Federal University, travel by train, swim in the Volga River, and stroll under the stars during the white nights in St. Petersburg.

Prepare yourself for a cultural experience like none other as you explore this incredible country!
